Join us as we make patriotic quilts for local injured soldiers. The need is still great--100 or more quilts each month are distributed. Bring your machine, quilting supplies and your project. If you need ideas, talk to Carol. Please sign up so we know how many quilters to expect.

MILLION PILLOW CASE CHALLENGE
2010
Heirloom Quilts is proud to be a participant in the MILLION PILLOW CASE CHALLENGE 2010 which is sponsored by Meredith Publications. The purpose of the challenge is to donate a total of one million pillow cases to local charities throughout the country. Our shop goal is 1000 pillowcases! We need everyone's help to accomplish this goal. We are holding a PILLOW CASE KICK-OFF DAY on Wednesday, January 13th from 12 noon to 8pm. Bring your sewing machine and make a pillow case or two. We will have free patterns and will be here to guide you through your first one. We will have pillowcase kits available to purchase for $6.00 for this project, or you can bring your own fabric--3/4 yard of the main fabric, 1/4 coordinating hem, and a 1 1/2 -2 inch strip for the contrast. This is a great way to use some of those oldies but goodies in your stash. Let us know if you have a favorite local charity group that could use these.
